The Vineyards
45 hectares of our own vineyards, with vines grown in espalier.
The vineyards are within the municipal boundaries of Pozaldez, Pozal de Gallinas and Rodilana, on the estates of El Sotillo, El Poleo and El Millón.

The soil:
The soil here is dark, rich in calcium and magnesium, and stony, favouring good aeration and drainage.
The climate:
The vineyards stand 700 to 800 metres above sea level. The land, on the banks of the River Duero, is flat but high up, with long, very cold winters, short springs, and hot, dry summers.
The changes in temperature from day to night are the secret to the balance of sugar and acidity in the grape.

The main varieties are: Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc and Viura.

The latest technology allows us to harvest the grapes mechanically. Mechanical harvesting is usually done at night to avoid oxidation of the juices.
